Theo walked in, and I called to him, and he jumped up onto my lap. So I pet him for awhile because he was being good and not walking on my keyboard or attacking things... he couldn't not, however, resist the allure (?) of my hair... cus even though it wasn't moving, he was batting at it and nibbled on it....
Jeremy, can you explain? The fascination of simple-minded creatures with my hair is a mystery to me... ^.~
Alexis, Sushu, Aza, and Mari all went with me to Ed's Potsticker House..
The last time I was there, I went with Isaac, Alexis, Sushu, and Jeremy..
that time, Sushu was the odd one out, cus Isaac and Alexis were together at the time, as were Jeremy and I
but this time, I was the odd girl out
Ed's Potsticker House remains as ghetto and tasty as it was before.. with the craptacular painted French/Italian/Californian (say what??) landscapes and the bridge with the horribly skewed reflection
At the Unique Thrift Store (one of many "Unique" stores. Ha.) I ended up buying a soft soft soft while L.L.Bean turtle neck for $2.75 and this random pin-striped jumper with a cargo pocket and.... and... I'm totally blanking on the word here.... overalls have them.. they've got little clips on the end... they're not straps but... they're...umm... they're....
Ack, the OED is of no avail!
Alexis identified it as a 'strap' or possibly 'suspenders'...
Sushu says 'overall strap'...
Am I just crazy.. or is there really a different word??
...The OED appears to think that it's the former. T_T

(Btw, did you know that Nemo should, according to the natural tendencies of his species of clownfish, when he wanders out into the ocean and the population of clownfish becomes scarce (0 is scarce, right?), switch sex and become a GIRL? Wha! Crazy biology!)

Read a chapter and a half of A Fire Upon the Deep by Vernor Vinge (hey, that's a cool name!) which I'm so glad Jono brought me from his parents' house because Jeremy, the fink!, absconded with the copy I had begun to read to India!
Today is officially the third day in a row where a muscle in my left lower eyelid has insisted upon twitching... and it's driving me crazy! It's not noticilbe though, nobody's come up to me and said "Dude, Cat, your eye is like....twitching, are you alright?" or "Hey, you look like (insert random anime character with an anger management problem) when she/he gets mad!"
Listening to Alanis Morisette reminds me of Jeremy's room at the farm... *laugh* probably cus it's like 1 of the only 3 tapes he has by his boombox in the bathroom...
*twitch twitch twitch goes my eye*
I wonder if Bob the maintainence guy fixed the dryer? I kinda want to do laundry... if only because I lack a better idea for how to kill time....
