catastrophy: (oroooooo)
Jeremy's helping edit English for yet again for yet another of our Syrian medical student subletters...
Helping teach people English is great and all, but after 10 I think we should be able to escape. Although I do find it horribly amusing when they ask if it's 'vah-GI-nal' (hard 'i' like in 'ice') or 'VAH-gin-al'... or whether they should say 'esophagus' or 'food tube'. (Food tube???) I also heartily enjoy explaining fun words like 'gooey' or 'cauliflower'
I feel for the poor 先生たち when they are forced to correct our horrible essays and things...

Oh, so I'm thinking of maybe becoming an Anthro major... thoughts?
It seems like less trouble and more flexibility than Gender Studies, yet less of a cop out than EALC....

I'm happy to announce that Jeremy and I now have the first picture of us together that wasn't taken at someone's wedding! Heh, eh.... ^^;; That's kind of sad.
Oh, and Sean has learned how to say 'Uh-oh!' and "drop" (and by 'drop' I mean heft up as high as he can lift and send hurtling to the ground with a KLUNK) things, increasing his already wibble-inducing cuteness factor by 10. It makes me kind of sad though, cus I don't get to see him often enough...he keeps getting better and better motor coordination between visits, new words, and he recognizes Kristen much better than me. He just hasn't seen me enough to be able to commit me to 1 yr old baby memory. *sniff*
Jeremy and I played Uchre with my mom and little sister, and he finished the game with a loner so that I could abandon cards because Sean had arrived. (I love a man who's witty and good at cards, I think it's ridiculously sexy. ...so is giving me more time with my nephew)

Speaking of which, I have this drawing that Sean made. Well, it's more like a coloring, but that's not the point. The point is that my adorable nephew made it, I have it, and I'm going to make all of you look at it, and woe is the person who does not respond quickly enough with the 'Oh, that's just adorable!'.
As far as I can tell, it's either a mutant piece of popcorn, or a radioactive dustbunny. Whatever it is, it's bright orange with 9 pink legs, and it's getting a special place of honor in my room.
(I'll put some pictures up just as soon as I figure out a way to put pictures up so I can post them here... ^^; I have this one of Sean in front of Jeremy, but Sean was blinking, and he has his arms sticking out straight, so he totally looks like a lurching zombie. The sugary-cuteness--coma-inducing kind of zombie, that is)

Work at the OI progresses, I'm trying to decide if it's feasible, or even advisable to continue working there once school starts. ...thoughts?
