"I'm in Chicago!"
...
"You're in Chicago?"

"Yeah, and they almost left me!"
...
"Oh, with your German class for that thingamathingamajiggy... mathing ...majiggy. Jiggyjiggy."

Anna's class came up to visit the Christkindlmarkt (or Christmas Market) downtown, which, much to her disappoint, was only 1 city block this year instead of 2.

She won't be needing to stay the night with me, but she called to check that I'd be visiting Saturday, and to encourage me to hold on until then with promises of apples and pears made out of MARZIPAN. *drool*
And also to tell me that Mom thought my X-mas card of Sean was a hoot.

Among the trinkets and Konfekte she got were a "bobble" at the request of Mr. Mira, Ritters w/ yogurt (Mmm...dubious), and a roll/bar of something that appears to be bittersweet chocolate... that, or poo.

"Oh, and I got a commerative mug---because there was hot cider in it"

"No Gluehwein for you, eh?"

"Leiders nicht. (Sadly no)"

Speaking of Lebkuchen, looks like you might have a White Christmas yet, eh Beck? ^.~

Oh man, I always loved studying Weinachten in German class...

Anna wants to sing 'O Tannenbaum' at the Emerson Xmas because Aunt Laurel (our aunt obssessed with tracking the geneology of our family, particularly the German part) can't be there.
