Phase 2.5: Procrastinate on LJ
Mar. 14th, 2006 02:35 pmJeremy recently brought it to my attention that I have completed the work for two courses (Fem. Struggle in Japan and my physci course), and I can wash my hands of them.
This made me feel much better.
Also, much to my pleasure and envy, Jeremy seems to be recovering twice as fast from the Stomach Virus of Doom than the rest of us did.
Currently, I am entering Phase 2 of paper writing for my Anth finals, which involves throwing together a copious number of quotes from various books to use as fodder in Phase 3, when I will come up with some words to go with the lucky ones and dismember or delete entirely the not-so-lucky (gloss: not useful) ones.
I also had a very scary, very disturbing nightmare this morning where my sister Nina was this maniac and holding my family captive in our own house... there were laser alarms, and if you broke a laser line, then you had to go to the other part of the house, and she was going to do terrible stuff to us if we made her mad... kind of like Akito from Furuba, actually... Time was all weird in it, like, Anna and I were in some dark room, freaking out about these drawings we made on the wall because one of them was missing and even though it was one of the kind Nina didn't object to, it was gone, so her "wall bug" or "wall rub" or some hitech minion-y system thing of hers had obviously destroyed it... only at the same time in the 'present' I was trying to keep Nina from taking this armful of food I had, because I thought if I could keep ahold of it she couldn't make us starve at least... only I kept dropping things as I tried to get away. Nina was all trying to convince me that obviously I was being ridiculous, that she wasn't going to do bad things to us... She knew what was best for us...
...in that creepy kind of 'I'll take care of you, but if you won't listen to me I'll torture you until you realize I'm only doing what's best for you" way though...
I wish I didn't have to sit at the computer all day to work on papers... it makes my back/shoulders all tight and ouchy.
This made me feel much better.
