It burns, it burns!
Sep. 23rd, 2004 01:38 amOr, more accurately:
It stings, it stings!!!
^^;;
So, I went with Austin to play Capture the Flag with Shorey house (vs. Thompson house!) on the Quads
It was much fun...
But I seem to have injured myself... but then... I kinda expected that. It's not a good game unless you scrape, bruise, pinch, burn, or otherwise maim some part of your body. ^.~
But, wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Before that, I went to see Off-Off at the Reynolds Club
(Today is the big Party at Reynold's for the 1st years... they had a construction theme.. Austin stole a paper "SPEED HUMP" sign from inside...
We've agreed that we must install a small cat-door or something into the hall of the apartment, that way we can have a midget run out and hump the leg of our guest when they look at the sign *cackle cackle*)
Off-Off was great, I'd never been before (Ack! Jeremy, please don't hurt me! I promise I'll go see them again this year! *cower*)
My favorite scene had the "thing that you hate to go to": The U of C!
So, Romero?? (Indian-ish guy... swear I've seen him before... can make this silly high squeaky voice) and Dana from Shorey are in it
R (Glasses shoved way down nose, shoulders hunched up, scuttling around awkwardly): Um... yeah.... uh...uh... I like books!
Dana looks embarressed and fidgets with sash in her beltloop
R (edges closer to Dana)
Dana fidgets more fervently with her sash/belt
R: Are... are... um, .... are you a girl??
Dana drops her sash and flees in a Monty Python "Run away!!!" fashion
^_^
So, back to Capture the Flag...
Apparently I'm the only one this side of the moon who thinks that Capture the Flag involves balls... that you, you know, throw at eachother????
But then... all my experience is based on grade school... every game involved multi-colored Gator balls, a traffic cone with a hockey stick as the base and a mesh jersey for a flag... ^^;;;
It was funny to her Emily (short blond hair, sweet face, glasses... Emily, right?) try to introduce me... (and by try I mean, start, stop, and give up) to the new Shorey-ites....
Jason, and Greg, and the Nigel (actually called Michael or something) character with long hair who used to have a moustache (Admit it, Jeremy, you are so jealous that you can't grow one!) and come steal Jeremy's and my oranges at lunch... and that tall girl from May who now RA's for Shorey were all there...
So... after several fits of boredom... stalking around near our flag... trying to snipe out any enemies sneaking in the back way (our side was everything south of the cobbles in the main quad), I decided to lope into the enemy territory and see how far I could get...
So, I loped, and kept loping... and I wasn't noticed until I hit the stairs between Ryerson and Eckhart.... and then I was running for dear life...
and then there were two chasing me...
I ran past the fountain, around the corner... ducked a branch.. swept through another one.. and there were the bushes by the delivery entrance to Ryerson (near the pond), and I was running and jumping and there was tagging... and, umm... bike racks... and mid-airness...
and then falling...
and hitting concrete...
and scraping..
and kinda sorta head-bonking (but nothing hurts there.. so I bet it was just head connecting with shoulder)
but mostly scraping...
and then going to jail
and wailing for Austin to come get me...
(And he got to the Jail later... but that was because he got tagged trying to sneak through the bushes by the Admin building)
So...
my arm stings! >.<
I've got this beautiful scrape ...mmmmm, 5, 6 inches?, up my fore arm..
Yeah!
That was fun!
Now... were are my roomies? They said they'd be getting in around 1? Or maybe they said later in the messages that I couldn't understand because of the static? ^^;;
...Jeremy? How is your flight, I wonder? I hope they gave you peanuts... and didn't make you sit next to some scary guy who keeps falling asleep with his head on your shoulder... (That's my spot!!)
It stings, it stings!!!
