Sep. 26th, 2004 11:23 pmClasses start tomorrow, and I feel like they're jumping on top of me.
And I keep bumping and scraping my arm on things like falling tupperware, sleeves, edges of boxes and stuff... T_T Sushu gave me gauze to protect it from backpacks and stuff tomorrow. It kinda helps that Alexis is making us bento (and currently scolding us to fill the Brita pitcher when it gets low so that the filter doesn't die ^^;;) bento with rice, sweet omelette (we're seeing if it's something I like), and broccoli. And she made one for Jono too. Tonight we were helping him unpack and organize all his manga. He brought me his copy of "A Fire Upon the Deep" from his parents too. <3
But, I still don't feel right... They put me in charge of flyers for the RSO Fair, I had a hard time because the libraries were all closed when I needed to make copies, so I hit up Garett for 15 pages and made a few, and Sushu got the rest later. The fair was fine otherwise, 2 pages of new listhost subscribers, I grabbed some books from Euphony, saw Austin, ran into Sal, and Doug (Garett's old roomie).
...
My family visited, brought me my bookcase, I've filled it with books... it reminds me of your room. Truthfully, I've never really used or needed an actual bookcase...until now. They brought me a trashcan and rollerblades too.
Yesterday we had big Anime Club officer's meeting. Drew flyers and big happy posters. Ate too much japanese junk food. Saw some "One Piece." Jono was drawing chibi's of all the officers. They were fun and made me wish I could actually draw. Alexis made a fabulous Italian feast for us. Ricotta and spinach ravioli (from scratch!) with creamy tomato sauce with all kinds of vegetable pieces in it, and mushrooms stuffed with bruschutto (sp?) and cheese with a milk sauce. (My belly wanted to explode, seriously)
(Vanya just got stuck trying to squeeze out my partially shut door. Ha ha.)
It feels so weird without Jeremy here... nothing seems quite normal.
On a complete tangent, this pitiful first year approached me on the corner of 55th and University, asking how to get back to campus.
I was cosplaying at the time.
As Juri, from Utena.
(Thus, why he singled me out is a complete mystery.)
I was on my way to the field of Henry Crown for the RSO Fair.
I laughed and smiled at him, told him to walk with me. Asked if he was a first year.
Yup.
Yeah, so Pierce is the last building before you run out of campus, at least on the northside...
Oh, I don't quite have a good sense of direction yet.
(Obviously, you're lost and you're less than 3 blocks from your own dorm!)
This is north, and now we're walking south. Where are you going?
Max Palevsky.
Hey, I used to live there last year! Which house are you in?
May.
Hey, me too! What room?
217 (or something)
Oh, I was in 221.
Oh, I have friends who live there now.
Cool. Hey, you should come to the RSO Fair. (And insert spiel about UCJAS)
Dunno if he actually stopped by.
*sigh*
I should get sleep. Gotta get up for class. I wonder who the new sensei will be for Japanese. Guess I'll find out, now won't I?
I will kick the cats out, whether they are still attached to eachother or not, and sleep.
Btw, I should be coming home for the weekend for the Feast.
