catastrophy: sparkly pink d20 necklace (stuuuuuuuudy)
and while it did not fit me like a glove, it was somewhat fitting

I'm not all that sure where it was taking place...
the dreamscape consisted of crazy outlet mall combined with night clubs combined with costume shops/dollar stores/clothing stores.... at least for this part
I was with Jeremy, and possible some other random guy... I don't recall really talking to him, but he could've been someone we knew...
apparently we were looking for someplace to get ID's? Only the store was filled with bizarre outfits, like superman-themed pedalpushers made out of spandex, sweatsuit material, and this crazy sequened stuff...
so anyway, Jeremy and the guy come back while I'm still oogling at the costume-clothes
and we go to the register... and whatever these ID things are, they look a helluva lot like a phonecard.. random blue and lightning design on the front, magnetic strip on the back.. and they cost like,..something between $10-$15. And the cash register was weird too... it did this thing where you put the money and the receipt together and shove them into this plastic part on the left of the register, and they get sucked in partway, and the machine makes printing noises, then they give you back your receipt....

Anyway, after that, somehow Jeremy and I got seperated...
we must have came to the outlet mall/club district by some car, because I end up driving this big van around... which suspiciously resembles the "Big Van" from my younger years, the Chevy 20 that we'd pack all 6 of us into and drive crosscountry.
So, to the best of my knowledge, the place we were supposed to return to was the hotel(?) that Jeremy was staying at...
it was night when we were in the mall etc., but it's suddenly day time, only I think nothing of it at the time...
Because I have the van, I'm trying to navigate this completely insane highway next to the mall etc.
but the lanes keep changing, and the highway keeps splitting in different directions, and I barely have enough time to keep the van on the road, let alone read the sides. The good news is that I do have a vague idea where I want to get to... it involves going left onto the highway, staying left on the main fork of the road, pushing this.... pillow, that suddenly seemed to be piled on my head and blocking my vision, onto the passenger seat, and veering into the lanes, which keep on suddenly shifting!

Then, suddenly, I'm not in the van anymore... I'm running through this market place...
which is a cross between like, Agraba and the Main Street of Disney World...
Only I'm only running part of the time, other times I'm riding this strange skinny long metal contraption which is like a bicycle, shopping cart, and skateboard all mixed together, and it's really fun!
It looks like I'm going to be running into people and stuff, but they move out of the way, and this little empty V-shape forms in front of me..
This market place is kinda funny looking, sometimes it's like a giant outdoor open-air toy store, but most of the time, it looks like a middle eastern bazar. A lot of the shops are built out of some red stone/clay thing, and have... bedsheets? hanging across the entry ways..
I keep heading down this one row, and now there are fewer shops, and more residental things... don't ask me how I know, all the bed sheets are kind of generic... but, there are certainly less people, nothing like a crowd anymore..
And I'm still hurrying like mad, because I know that I must have been lost for a little while driving, and that I'm probably late and Jeremy is worrying about me..
Then I spot the place were we're staying... it has this random mattress, covered in plastic with a lace covering underneath, right smack dab in front of the entryway, but that doesn't seem to be all that unusual... I scamber over it, and inside... it's pretty much like a normal hotel (although it looked like it was smaller than my apartment by half, from the outside.) The walls are kinda mellow green, and it's carpeted. There's a loungy-thing to the left, a window with curtains where you can talk to a clerk, and I turn right, pass some random rooms, and there are rooms that people stay in down the hall..
the hallway is cool, kinda breezy, there must be air conditioning.. maybe a ceiling fan back in the lounge.
But, anyway, I bust into the first room on the right, which is Jeremy's, and he's laying on the bed, kinda like he was taking a nap or reading or something. I'm short for breath, trying to explain and apologize all at the same time, and he's... seemingly, completely nonplussed
And I can't decide how to feel about it... it's good that he wasn't stressed out about me, but it seems like he should be slightly more concerned.. after all, we lost eachother, it wasn't like I ran off, or he 'd told me where we were meeting... although I seem to remember that I was cell phone-less and that surely didn't help things any... but then, I also can't figure out the whole car thing... who drove us there? I don't think it was even in the van, it must have been Jeremy's car... but then, they walked back, and I think driving was actually the long way, and walking would have been quicker...
I never pretend to understand dream physics...
But it was suprising that Jeremy was so blatently untroubled. I think someone back by the lounge of the hotel even called out to me that Jeremy was worried about me, where had I been, I was awfully late....
So I was expecting the same kind of reaction I'd gotten at Acen when I walked in clutching an ice pack to my banged up eye....

*Shrug*

FYI, Sushu, this is a "normal" dream for me....
Ok, hopefully today will be better than yesterday, and by that I mean that I will spend more of it actually doing something productive, instead of fighting for consciousness...and losing.
I got lots of sleep last night.... man, I was tired from the moment I got up all the way until I decided I should just climb into bed before I fell down exhausted, slumped over a random piece of furniture...
Today's pretty gloomy... rainy... hopefully I can combat the low-pressure system and get some Civ reading done... some Marx done...
