When the roads and sidewalks have not been plowed, it takes a minimum of 20 minutes to get to class from the apartment.

We had a ridiculously long, but entertaining, dicussion about Ochakumi (the person who serves tea, ie. in a Japanese company) this morning. I think I'm starting to like Miyachi-sensei. I hope the trend continues. She also likes to call her students first name-san, which makes my life easier--I actually have a fighting chance of remembering my classmates' names. Kanji quiz is tomorrow.... and I think it will be scary.
To say nothing of the shukudai I'll have to do over the weekend.

The reading for my Language, Voice, & Gender class today was about "white woman" speech as used by African American drag queens, so I have high hopes that the lecture will be equally fascinating.

And in case anyone ever wondered, the Rey. Club Lounge is practically abandoned at 9:30 in the morning.

Today I still have not managed to accomplish the two tasks I set out for myself since Monday: I have not retrieved my watch from Jeremy's room and gotten a new battery for it, or turned in that reimbursement form for Brian that's been finished since finals week. ^^;;

Wow, the space bar on this keyboard has had the little textered bumps all worn off on the Spacebar...I wonder how many students use it each day...

Campus Open Skate Night is next Wednesday---we must get Sushu into ice skates and on the ice!
Jonathan's LotR marathon is Saturday, I think I'll drop by after dinner/around when RotK ext. ed. will be starting.

I wonder how much snow we got last night? How much snow constitutes an Ooyuki? Is there a standard?
