Overheard during a docent-lead tour:

"...you know those silica gel packets? There are packets in the [mummy] case to keep her dry and preserved."

Our mummies are kept crispy and fresh by DO NOT EAT.

And for some reason, I find this incredibly hilarious.

Very important lesson for all children, but especially Egyptian: DO NOT EAT THE MUMMY. But feel free to eat the sarcophagus.
